Where is The Federal Club?

The Federal Club is located in southwest Hanover County.  We are six miles from the interchange of I-295 (Exit 49A) on Route 33/Mountain Road.   We are located in the Mountain Run Subdivision on the right-hand side of the road before you reach the South Anna River.  It is just 10 minutes from the Short Pump area or 15 minutes from midtown on Staples Mill Road (which becomes Mountain Road in Hanover).  It’s not far to go and you will find that the course conditions warrant the additional time it took to get here.

What Type of course conditions will I experience at The Federal Club? 

The Federal Club features A1/A4 bentgrass greens, Declaration bentgrass fairways and Bluegrass fescue roughs. The practice facility features 4 large Declaration bentgrass tee complexes and 5 target greens, along with a putting green, practice bunker and chipping area. The turf stays a beautiful shade of green all year. The Federal Club offers six sets of tees for players of all levels. The Black tees play to 7,073 yards with a course rating of 74.1 and slope of 145 that will challenge even the most experienced player. The Blue Member tees are 6,549 yards with a course rating of 71.7 and slope of 140. The White tees are 6300 yards with a course rating of 70.7 and slope of 136.  The Gold tees measures 6,105 yards with a course rating of 69.8 and 134 slope. The Red tees measure 5,414 yards with a course rating of 71.4 and a 133 slope. The Federal Club also has a U.S. Kids Junior set of tees that plays 3,044 yards which allows junior golfers the opportunity to play a championship golf course from a yardage that is suitable for them. The course plays to a par of 72 and features eight par 4′s, five par 5′s and five par 3′s.

How long will The Federal Club remain semi-private? 

The Federal Club will allow public play 7 days a week until September 1, 2011. At that point, public play will be terminated on Saturdays and Sundays. Public play will be allowed Monday through Friday from September 1st, 2011 until September 1st, 2012. After September 1st, 2012 all public play will be terminated and The Federal Club will return to full private.

How does The Federal Club/Spring Creek Value card work? 

The value card can be purchased from the point of sale at either The Federal Club or Spring Creek Golf Club. The card is good for one round at each golf course and it includes cart fees. The value card may be used at each course one time and cannot be used at the same course twice. Weekday value cards are $120.00 (a $32.00 savings) and are valid Monday through Thursday. Weekend value cards are $150.00 (a $42.00 savings) and are valid Friday through Sunday. There is no limit on the amount of value cards one can purchase.
