Golf Lessons At The Federal Club
Tim Dale, PGA Certified
Head Golf Professional
Originally from York, England, Tim came to The United States to study Golf Complex Operations and Golf Management at The Golf Academy of America in Orlando, Florida. Here he studied the golf swing under Carl Rabito, PGA Master Professional and one of Golf Magazine's Top 100 Golf Instructors. From there he moved to Virginia where he has worked at Brandermill Country Club, The Country Club of Virginia, Kinloch Golf Club, The Foundry Golf Club, Head Golf Professional (2007-2010) and The Federal Club, Head Golf Professional 2010-present. Tim has been a Class-A member of The PGA of America since 2001 and became a certified professional in 2009.
The Federal Club Instruction Program

Individual Lessons
One on one instruction is available for students who want personalized attention. Tim offers 45 minute individual lessons or playing lessons (9 or 18 holes) customized to fit the student’s needs.
Clinics
Group instruction is offered to students which includes all game segments and aspects of the golf swing. Group sizes range from 2-12 students.
Junior Instruction
We offer individual instruction and a four-day Junior Golf Camp during the summer.

July 8 - 11 Junior Golf Camp
9:00am - 12:30pm - Campers will be divided by age and skill for teaching purposes. Throughout the four day week, the children will receive instruction on putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, bunker play, rules of golf, and etiquette. Camp will include instruction, daily contests, water and lunch. On Thursday July 11th, there will be an award ceremony following lunch (12:30-1:00pm). Parents are welcomed to attend. The minimum age is 6. Camper minimum number is 8 and the maximum is 20, then a wait list will be formed. Cost is $150. Please let us know if you child has any food allergies when you sign up. July 22 - 26 Three Sport Camp 9:00am - 4:30pm - Three Sport Camp Tennis from 9:00-11:00am Supervised swim time from 11:00 to 12:30pm Lunch from 12:30 to 1:00pm Golf lesson from 1:00 to 2:30pm Supervised swim time from 2:30-4:30pm Children may be picked up any time during final swim time. Corporate Golf Clinics
Members can entertain a group of business associates or clients during a customized instruction program.
Playing Lessons
Playing lessons are offered at the club where course management and the mental side of the game supersede golf mechanics. Tim offers 9 hole and 18 hole playing lessons.
Club Fitting
Have your next set of clubs custom fit at The Federal Club. We analyze shaft flex, shaft length, lie angle and grip size.
